A harpoon, while hilarious, is not the proper weapon of choice when dealing with obnoxious neighbors who cannot even sing a simple Nancy Sinatra song; what I do is this; I send up my enforcer. You may borrow her.

If that doesn't do the trick, send this grumpy old guy up. He never leaves.

Got back home yesterday afternoon. Began cleaning immediately (mainly the litter box, plus vacuuming and laundry). Now - at least chores are out of the way, and I can try to relax a lil' over the weekend. While at Mom's, I did a lil' cleaning there too - not much, as she is a clean freak too, but there are some things that are harder for her to do, and she isn't suppose to do a lot of bending over with that eye for awhile.

Mom's eye surgery went well, thank God. My sis should be at her house today, and will stay for a few days. I may go back for a day or two next week before she has to go back to Southern Cal.

Maybe the three of us can do something together, like lunch, dinner, or a movie, if mom feels up to it. (She usually does - lol)!

I am a clean freak as well, to the point of obsession. My family thinks I am OCD, which may or may not explain alot. All I can say to that is, "Whats that spec on the coffee table?"

Was off from VR for a day; will be gone for another 1-2 days, as my mom will be having her eye surgery this Weds.

When I get back, it's on to more job-hunting. I'd be happy to get something part-time at this point.

People like you succeed, Isis...I feel ya, though, on the job hunt; I was unemployed last year for three months. The job I have now I cling to with a vengence, even though I don't like it.

My mom was really creative with meals - while there are too many dishes to name, I can say that they were all very delicious. We had no idea that we were poor...until I caught my mom one evening after dinner eating our leftovers. I later found out that we never had much food, and she went hungry sometimes for our sakes.

My mom raised three girls on her own - she went from being on welfare temporarily to becoming a dental department supervisor in the local clinic and paying off the mortgage to own her house.

By those times, food was plentiful. So were nice clothes, toys, gadgets, spending money, etc. But I never took all of the great stuff we got for granted. Right now, I'm in a financial downward spiral - like many folks in this country. And I still don't take anything for granted. I still appreciate everything I get.

I consider myself a nice, friendly person...which is wierd when a person comes out of the blue to rate me a not so pleasing rate. Of course, she/he is free to rate what she/he wants.

The reason I bring this up is because someone here rated me a 5, so I rated him/her a 4. (I think my profile is better than hers/his, so that's why it was rated one point less).

She/he came back to rate me a 3, so I just figure, nip the shit in the bud - and I rated a 1 back. I think that she/he should also rate me a 1, and be done with it...lol!

(For the record, this person's profile is basically a sexpot ad, which is fine and dandy...but so unoriginal)...

Thats funny as hell. I have a mentally challenged black cat who does alot of weird and funny things, sometimes scaring the crap out of me. If I ever walked into a room and saw him standing there, I'd shoot him.

I will be away from VR for 1-2 days; going down to my mom's for family business, plus - she has another eye appointment before her sugery in two weeks (on one eye).

Hopefully, when I return, there won't be any major changes here...'cause everytime I'm gone from VR for 2 or more days - wham! Presto chango! LOL!
